Argentina pays compensation to hedge funds (By Sylodium, international trade directory)

An American appeals court judge has ordered Argentina to pay USD 1.4 billion compensation to two hedge funds involved in the 2002 default. The judge rejected Argentina's appeal and confirmed the original sentence establishing NML Capital and Aurelius' right to compensation, even though they refused to follow debt restructuring plans launched in 2005.
