Manufacturing is projected to see a broadly neutral effect, with significant job displacement in traditional industries as wages rise, but job gains in manufacturing AI-enabled products. Says PwC:
As China becomes more innovative and less imitative, there will also be an ever-growing demand for manufacturing technologies such as robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles. Chinese industrial employment is therefore likely to shift from lower value, labour-intensive production to higher value roles, including those involved in the manufacture of AI-enabled equipment for export, as well as to meet rising domestic demand.

My Bloomberg Opinion colleague Tyler Cowen is especially enamored of Ethiopia, whose sense of historical pride he believes will drive it to seek rapid growth. The Chinese seem to concur.
The second question is what to invest in. Africa still isn’t competitive with China in terms of manufacturing costs, but as Chinese wages continue to rise, the gap is narrowing. But an even more important sector could be services. A recent Brookings Institution report shows that in many parts of Africa, growth is now concentrated in tradable services related to agriculture, information technology and tourism. Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal and South Africa have emerged as IT service leaders. As manufacturing becomes more automated around the world, expect the service sector to grow in importance.

“I have to be honest, the digital economy concept has been so slow to catch on in governments,” Ms. Kenewendo said.
This included in “soft” policy areas like education as well as in “hard” infrastructure like broadband, she said.
For Ms. Altman, “kids get it,” but “institutions often don’t.”
She said that basic standard-setting and building a digital infrastructure was incumbent on governments – not just in Africa – and e-commerce would flow from that.
“I encourage you to throw away your caution,” she said.
Panellists agreed that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was a welcome step toward freer regional circulation of goods, but much work remained to be done on transport logistics and connectivity.
Investing in talent
One Belt, One Road (OBOR), China’s ambitious initiative unveiled in 2013 is very near to its success. It consists of two plans combined to form a larger framework of new trade routes.
“They are the ones who are actually able to use the new technology, I expect, to a higher extent than the older ones.”
He stressed that misconceptions lay at the heart of the “old fashioned” labels that have persisted.
“Construction is not low tech, it is not low productivity,” he said, adding that these perceptions needed to be changed.
“We already made a BIM (building information modelling) manifesto, together with more or less the entire construction industry – the suppliers, the products. This will probably make people outside the industry aware of the kind of role we are playing.”
The various industry associations, many of whom have a raft of shared goals, are increasingly working together to deal with the barriers which are lying in their way.

Verbal conjugations and prepositions must be represented in coordinates, for example, with a “from”, “to”, in 3D spaces (Critaxis, Rexiology, UNO, Brinsemia, Hestidolia)
And the conjunctions, they go in the logical doors.
No language immersion or dialectical dip or open doors or closed doors to languages, nothing is achieved, languages walk alone, without politicians. For example, the Catalan will be in a museum, French for love letters, and the Spanish, without scratching neither in commerce nor in science, will touch him to be reggaetonist, or imperialist of the Latin language. An even stronger push from China would come in handy, which does know how to invest in Africa and Latin America (the economy does open the doors to languages), so that it will gradually be subject to the rule of the English language.
In any case, being English, Spanihs or Chinese, language can be and must be represented in coordinates 3D

In order to achieve the potential of modern networks, all levels of communication need to be involved. With Industry 4.0, the boundaries of the different levels shift from what is currently in place. The field level remains a dedicated layer, but the devices on it will incorporate more and more intelligence including smart sensors that are able to perform many processes autonomously.
Many of the efforts to develop IoT platforms have focused on the enterprise level in a top-down approach. Although indispensable, this level actually only collects about 10% of the data, therefore limiting the ability to support predictive maintenance and component performance optimisation. Unless a discrete IoT system is used for the remaining 90% of critical component data, enterprise systems cannot exploit their potential to truly transform business activities. Discrete IoT systems can provide immediate value regardless of enterprise level systems, while supporting their long-term objectives.
