The Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) based on commercial relations between Angola and US, signed in 2010, will be re-activated during the second official meeting of the council of the referred mechanism, set for 1-2 April this year in Washington.

U.S. exports to Angola in 2008 were about $400 million; while imports from Angola were about $4.0 billion. More than 95 percent of this trade is related to the oil and gas sector.
