US have approved recently Japan’s entry into negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations.
We know that The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a FTA under negotiation by next countries, tha we introduce them by order by GDP “per capita” : Singapore (39th in ranking world by total GDP according IMF: 327 billion dollars), Brunei (120º, 22 billion) , US (1st, 15.685 billion), Canada ( 13th 1.488 billion) , Australia ( 18th , 971 billion) , New Zealand (62th , 132 billion) , Chile (41th : 321 billion), , Malaysia (29th , 498 billion) , Mexico (11th , 1.759 billion) , ,Peru (38th , 327 billion) , and Vietnam (40th , 321 billion) .
If negotiations with Japan (4º, 4.628 billion), Canada and Mexico succeeded, the number of total GDP would be considerably higher than all EU and 40% of the world’s total.
We must highlight that 91% of the total GDP of the TPP member states would be from Japan and the US. This will create "de facto" a US-Japan FTA.
