A group of investors from Poland recently met with their Gambian counterparts to explore business opportunities in the country. At a business forum organised in Bijilo by The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and The Gambia Export Investment Promotion Agency (GIEPA), the Polish investors were presented with the opportunities that can be explored in the country in the different areas of economic development.
The GCCI president said the key areas that they push investors to include agriculture, tourism and infrastructure, adding that there are opportunities in those areas. A senior economist at the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, Omar Badjie, assured the Polish investors that they are in the right place and at the right time. He added that The Gambia though a small country is a regional hub not only with a safe environment, but many opportunities to tap.
